MindFrameNZ Founders
Our founding directors Dr Vicky Smith, Dr Chris Garvie, and Dr Michael Tartaglia, are all ACC providers who wanted to find a better way to manage the bureaucracy for delivering insured mental health provision.

What is DBT?
DBT has been developed for clients with severe difficulties with distress tolerance, emotion regulation and interpersonal relationships. The focus of the skills coaching is on teaching strategies to better manage these aspects of living.
This group is based on the work of Marsha Linehan and has become the gold standard for the treatment of Borderline Personality Disorder. DBT is also being increasingly used to treat symptoms of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, depression, anxiety, substance dependence and eating disorders.

MindFrameNZ Business Support
Cultural Advisor
Sarah-Lee Bragg
Born and raised in Bluff, daughter of Stephen Bragg (Ngāi Tahu) and Sonia Pera (Ngāi Tahu, Ngāti Ruanui, Whakatōhea).
My family and I grew up on Te Rau Aroha Marae in Bluff which were the happiest times in my childhood. Surrounded by whānau, endless kaimoana, and a continuing chorus of waiata.
Whānau is and will always be paramount in my life, I have three ātaahua tamariki, we spend most of our weekends at the Moana which is our happy place.
I have a Bachelor of Teaching (2014) and I am currently the Kaiako Mātua at Bluff Kindergarten.
Overall, I have a strong belief in having openness and manaakitanaga in the way I engage with people and work in a Kaupapa Māori Model.
Sarah-Lee is MindFrameNZ’s principal cultural advisor, ACC funds access to cultural advice and support for treatment providers to assist them in their work with clients to ensure our service is culturally sensitive.
The provision of Cultural Advice acknowledges the cultural diversity of Aotearoa New Zealand and the importance of culture in the delivery of therapy and in the development of the therapeutic relationship between the Client and the Provider, both can be better upheld through enhanced knowledge and respect for differing cultures, belief systems and social customs.
As a MindFrameNZ provider, we will assist you to access cultural advice and support when it is needed.
